On Saturday I finally got not just to know my future high school, I even got in touch with my host family. This was the best call from EF so far, and I bet there'll be many things which are gonna surprising me during my exchange, just to top of my beautiful life :)
Someone said that you experience the most beautiful things such as your host family when you expect it at least. That's so incredible true.
My family lives in a suburban area of Austin. What I like best about Austin are the several green spaces around the city. I could have ended up somewhere in a desert or in the biggest of cities, which is really not bad. But, even though I think it can be fun everywhere, no matter where you spend your year abroad, I'm pretty sure this is the best place for me. It feels so right and the family seems so close to me, even if I have never seen them before in real life. Isn't it crazy?
Since I received a lot of information from my Organisation I know a little about my lovely family. Lucky me, I will have two younger host brothers, three dogs and amazing parents!
What I appreciate so much is that they are vegan as well and we share soooo many hobbies and passionate loves.
We both count down the days until my journey begins! I hope that every exchange student has the ability to get to his or her "perfect" family. I would love to read your experiences as well, what did you go through? Are you happy with your host family? I'm anxiously waiting for your stories :)
