Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksliving y'all!
I hope everyone could enjoy their holiday with lots of yummie dishes , love, family and friends. I've been looking forward to this kind of celebration for so long now. It was one of my favourite things on the very top of my bucket list, and also an event whereby I knew it would actually happen, no matter what. As birthdays you just can't miss Thanksgiving. Surely it is a kindly reminder to be thankful and to realize how blessed we are. Even though being grateful should be taken for granted and people, especially wealthy people like us, should be thankful everyday, we often need a kick in our botty.
Thanksgiving is more than one week ago, but I still wanted to tell you a little bit about it to give you a short summary of this very special day.
As soon as I woke up we straight started to cook and prepare everything. Well, at least my mom. She made vegan cinnamon rolls which tasted like heaven itself. That was just our breakfast, after that we continued cooking and got all the dishes ready for dinner. We had a typically traditional but vegan Thanksgiving, we had veganized turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and so much more as sides. Moreover there was cheesecake, choloate-oreo cake and pumpkin pie as desert, of course. I reckon I don't need to mention how full my belly was and how pregnat I felt with my foodbaby :D
It was not just my family I celebrated Thanksgiving with, we invited our Nana, Uncle Todd, Uncle Sam and his girlfriend Marisa. Our evening ended with watching movies and playing games like scategories which turned out to be my favourite game, even if I'm the worst. Literally the worst. All in all it was a great experience as I got a lot of time to spend with my lovely host family. One thing I was most grateful for this day simply was for being loved by such wonderful and beautiful people around me. For having two families and the best of friends on every imaginably continet of this big world, being aware of their strong love, knowing to have someone to talk to makes me feel so happy and relieved. It literally just amazes me :)
We had the whole week off of school. I met my friends a couple of times and enjoyed most of the time being at home. But Sunday though was different as usually. Spontaneously we went skydiving to live our limit for the second time now, why not? I would have never expected that, but I'm so so so unbelievably glad and thankful that I got the opportunity. Especially doing it again, such a blast!
