Hello and happy 3rd Sunday of Advent!
I hope y'all cound find some peaceful and relaxing times to enjoy your family, your friends or most important - yourself.
In my case not everything is quite relaxing. We have some stuff going on, but this will be over soon. One hour ago I finished packing the last cardboard box. The kitchen is done and so am I. But I can't complain. I had "fun", at least as much fun as you can have while moving. YES. we are moving!! Isn't it exciting?
The thing is, I didn't even do a third of the work compared to my parents. That's why I'm super proud (of them), moving is tough and brings a lot of joy at the same time. Just like getting new clothes. You need to donate or sell your old ones first in order to buy new ones. It's hard to decide, you don't want to loose them but at the same time you want something better or maybe just a little variation. A change is as good as a rest, a wise old saying. Who wants to be the same person forever? Is anybody out there who keeps listening to the same song for longer than 24 hours? Obviously I'm not talking about someone who's listening to Ed Sheeran, because that would make sense, you can't really get tired of that. I understand :D
Recently my final exam week started. Which means I have to write a big test in every class. This includes English, Math, US History, Environmental Science, Theatre, Music Theory, Choir and least but definitely not last Sculptures. Would you agree if I said my classes are pretty great? I wouldn't doubt it. Because they are and I could start to cry momentarily when I think of my Austrian classes. Last week I just realized how blessed I am.
Besides, my Austrian mom made once a little joke come true. Well, she improvised but still made it come true. She literally sent me a package full of flour. I would have been a joke if it was just regular flour. Sursprise, surprise, it was a bread mix. I don't need to explain myself. Due to the fact, that there is an ocean between us Austrian and American bread just doesn't taste similar, not at all. I've been as happy as I was when I found a banana in my Christmas stocking. Reeeeeally happy!
One of the most special and magical moments in December was probably the day when God turned water into snow and drizzled it all over the landscape. He made Texas look like a giant sugar powdered cupcake. My little brothers, Brady and DJ have never had one before, neither did their friends from the neighborhood. But it must have been so good that they even ate it. Not the cupcake, but the snow from the ground they collected to have a big fat and serious snowball fight. Snow and Texas wasn't a thing since year 2009, we were so incredibly lucky.
