High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Disney's große Pause, etc. We all know them and that's exactly what I expected when I was on the way to my high school. At least this is what I wished for. Especially Hannah Montana shaped and influenced my childhood a lot.
Did my absolutely new school meet all my expectations?
Well, kind of. My classes beside of Math, US History and English are Music Theory, Choir, Theatre, Environmental Science and least but definitely not last: Sculptures! Sounds awesome, right?
My school is HUGE. At my first day, shy and confused as I am, it was quite hard to find all my classes. I need to mention that we have four different buildings and thousands of different classrooms and even more students, for sure :D That's a really important experience to me personally. I had to speak a lot, ask, answer and get out of my comfort zone. Unfortunately I'm still confused with all the different directions and sometimes I can't even find a bathroom, because there are too many of them. As you may know, we usually have A days and B days which means 1st - 4th period on A day and 5th - 8th period on B day.
The relationship between student and teacher is very different in comparison to European relations. My choir teacher even huged me on the second day, they are always there for you. Like you were friends with them which is amazing! When it comes to choir class, I couldn't ask for any better experiences. I'm pretty sure we'll have a lot of fun. Not just because of my peers, but the music. Music connects.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
SCULPTURE CLASS
They have all these lockers in the main building as well, Flags everywhere, a really big library, a cafeteria, and even the classrooms look like in a movie. And somehow the American students always figure out that I'm a foreigner, even when I don't say anything. Maybe it's because of my food habits. People in school are not eating at all, sometimes a little snack or a little burger and fries in the cafeteria. But whenever I pack out my lunch box to get some food I get to see some weird faces. Actually I think that's really funny :D
All in all school is fun, sometimes too easy, sometimes hard. Life is full of sometimes, let's enjoy it. See you <3
